Biography
Dr. K.R. John who is currently the Professor and Head of the Dept.of Community Medicine Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Chittoor,Andhra Pradesh. He has the following Educational Qualification M.B.B.S Medicine 1976 DPH Public health 1980 M.D Kerala Community medicine 1981 all from university of Kerala govt medical college Trivandrum. He has his MmedSc degree in health economics and clinical epidemiology from University of Newcastle Australia and had Dip. NBE National Board India Social and preventive medicine He Was a Rockefeller scholar in the University of Newcastle for training in health economics and clinical epidemiology. Currently serving as the president of India clinical epidemiology network (INCLEN). Have 57 international publications and 16 publications on health economics with policy implications. Has 10 publications on non-communicable diseases has been a resource person for several economic evaluation studies and workshops which had major policy implications has organized many conferences on health economics related subjects> he has served in many of the apex committees of the govt with policy relevance. Has served in several academic positions at Christian medical college Vellore, and SRM medical college and currently developing to build the population based research on Non communicable disease in the field practice areas of the Department of community medicine at AIMSR Chittoor dist. in the capacity as the head of the Department of co community medicine.
