Biography

Dr. Zakiuddin Ahmed is a visionary strategist, healthcare entrepreneur & a physician leader who specializes in developing socially beneficial, sustainable, scalable and innovative solutions in Healthcare through information technology. His areas of interest, expertise & experience are eHealth, mHealth, Healthcare Quality, Medical Ethics, Healthcare eMarketing, CME, CPD, Research & Leadership Development. He is the President of Healthcare Paradigm, CEO of eHealth Services Pvt. Ltd, Medical Director of PharmEvo Pvt. Ltd, and holds leadership positions in other companies including Medical Voice, MedsDaily, Digital Care, among others. As an expert in eHealth & mHealth, Dr. Zaki offers consultancy to global organizations including Arther D. Little (ADL) & Interactive Group (UAE) He is the current President of OPEN (Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs of North America) Karachi and on the board of OPEN Global, USA. He has been the National Convener of Quality in Healthcare chapter of QPSP; National Coordinator for Telemedicine & eHealth, MoH, Government of Pakistan; Focal Person for eHealth for WHO. His “Country’s Firsts” projects include: “Medical Call Center”; “Hub & Spoke” Telemedicine Project; Family Health Membership Program; Videoconferencing Studio and Services; National & International Telemedicine / eHealth Conference and Exhibitions; TeleRadiology project; among others. Dr. Zakiuddin has contributed in the development of “WHO-ITU National eHealth Strategy Toolkit (1st edition)”as an independent expert reviewer. He, as the focal person, had earlier conducted the 2nd Global eHealth survey 2009 of WHO Global Observatory for eHealth for Pakistan. He is also on the Editorial Board of the Journal of International Society for Telemedicine & eHealth (ISfTeH). He created the Mirror Site for Supercourse, world’s largest on line repository of medical presentations, in Pakistan For his contributions in the entrepreneurial space, he has been awarded as the “Most Promising Entrepreneurs Award” by E-Global Awards 2012. As a globally recognized speaker, Dr. Zaki has been speaking at many eHealth / mHealth / medical conferences around the world in the last 10 years and serves on the boards of various international conferences and organizations. Dr. Zaki has a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and a Master’s degree in Health Management. He has also successfully completed a course on Entrepreneurship from MIT, Boston
