Dr. Carolyn C. Johnson, PhD, FAAHB, NCC, LPA, FAAHB, is the endowed Usdin Family Professor in the Department of Global Community Health and Behavioral Sciences at Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. She is currently the Director of the Tulane Prevention Research Center, Director of the Center of Excellence in Maternal and Child Health, and Chief of the Section of Maternal and Child Health within her department. Dr. Johnson earned an MS in Clinical Psychology from San Diego State and a PhD in Applied Biopsychology from the University of New Orleans. She has been in a faculty position at Tulane for 25 years. The main focus of her research is health education and health promotion for behaviors that are preventive against the development of chronic disease, specifically physical activity, nutrition, and smoking. She has been funded as PI and Co-PI by both federal and state agencies on multiple single and multisite studies. Dr. Johnson chairs the social and behavioral sciences extramural research program for the Division of Transplantation at the Health Resources and Services Administration, and formerly chaired grant review panels for the U. S. Army prostate and breast cancer programs. She is a Fellow in the American Academy of Health Behavior, a nationally certified counselor and a Louisiana Professional Counselor.

She is a Canadian Certified Occupational Health Nurse, Canadian Registered Safety Professional, Certified Disability Management Professional and is also a Faculty member for the Disability Management Certificate Program through the National Institute for Disability Management and Research (NIDMAR). She has spoken at provincial, national and international conferences on the subject of Disability Management, workplace violence prevention, bullying and Healthy Work Environments. Dr. Richard Hanowski is a Senior Research Scientist and serves as the Director of the Center for Truck & Bus Safety (CTBS) at the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute. He has been involved in transportation research since 1991 and has led many light vehicle and heavy vehicle safety studies for government and industry. He has served as the Principal or Co-Principal Investigator on over $50 million of contract research and has authored over 200 publications. His research focuses on safety and health issues associated with commercial vehicle operations. Findings from Dr. Hanowski’s research have generated practical, in-depth knowledge that has benefited government, commercial vehicle operations (including drivers and fleet management), equipment manufacturers, academia, and the public. His 2009 research on driver distraction in commercial vehicle operations helped foster an international dialogue that led to policies and regulations designed to reduce driver distraction and improve safety.

Grechanina Elena Y. MD, professor since 1990, is the general director of “Genetics”, which is composed of a Medical Genetics Center, Department of Medical Genetics KhNMU, Ukrainian Institute of Clinical Genetics. She is the principal clinical consultant. Since 2005, a corresponding member of NAMS Ukraine, and in 2007 a honorary citizen of the city of Kharkiv. In 2012-2014, she published 38 articles on the metabolic, epigenetic and mitochondrial diseases, prenatal diagnosis and foliate-methionine cycle. She was involved in the study of occupational health problems of physicians from the start of her service.

Dr.Ilise L Feitshans JD and ScM and DIR is a bi-lingual lawyer with a Master’s of Science in Public Health from the Johns Hopkins University, where she examined the role of women’s rights to genetic information. Ilise won awards for her path breaking Senior Scholars Honors thesis for Barnard College, entitled “Occupational Health From an International Perspective” compared laws and their implementation in three nations and under international law; it became the blueprint of her life’s work. She wrote the chapter “Occupational Health as a Human right” for the ILO Encyclopedia, and is the author of the treatise DEIGNING AN EFFECTIVE OSHA COMPLIANCE PROGRAM, which addresses law and occupational medicine. The non-lawyer version, BRINGING HEALTH TO WORK describes law and policy issues in reproductive health at work, ethics of occupational safety and health; methods for achieving corporate compliance with occupational safety and health laws, and provides the theoretical basis for the justification of safety and health programs. Her articles and press releases have been published in many nations. Ilise has given university level presentations in both English and French, especially at the UN in her former capacity as Coordinatrice of the Encyclopedia for Safety and Health, ILO, Geneva Switzerland. Ilise taught legislative drafting at the Columbia University School of Law in the City of New York, and in turn, Ilise has drafted laws from the local level (NYC Board of Health regulations concerning confidential testing of minors for HIV) to the international level, (ILO Memoranda of Understanding with non-profit organizations and with the US government) and in 2013, a report to the Council of Europe that was accepted after full debated by the full Parliamentary Assembly, “Nanotechnology: balancing benefits and risks to public health and the environment”.

Fabienne -Fariba Salimi is a senior HSE consultant and has more than 25 years of experience in process safety engineering in the chemical and oil & gas industries, both onshore and offshore. She has a particular expertise in risk-based design and identifying safety-critical systems and developing their performance standards in compliance with ISO 55000. Since March 1994, she has been the Project Manager of Multiplan R&F in France and later the ADEPP Academy in the UK. She is also the co-developer and project manager for developing the ADEPP monitor, an online innovative tool for identifying safety-critical equipment and management of their performance standards. She obtained her PhD in chemical engineering from “Ecole Centrale Paris” in 1996. Her main qualifications were obtained in Iran and France and she is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AICHE) and the International Society for Instrumentation (ISA).
