Biography
Catherine de Pierrepont is a sexologist (B.A. and M.A., University of Quebec in Montreal) and is presently a Ph.D. Candidate in Population Health at the University of Ottawa. As a perinatal sexologist, her research interests focus on perinatal sexuality during the transition to parenthood, i.e. intimacy and sexuality of future and new parenting couples during and after the pregnancy. Her Ph.D. thesis is a multidimensional evaluation of francophone parenting couples’ sexoperinatal experience living in a minority linguistic context in Ottawa and Eastern Ontario. Viola Polomeno, R.N., Ph.D., is an Associate Professor at the School of Nursing of the University of Ottawa. Her research and clinical interests are in the domain of perinatal sexuality. She is a member of the Canadian Sex Research Forum and a member of the Montfort Hospital Research Institute in Ottawa, Canada.
