Biography

Professor David Achanffuo Yeboah is an outstanding researcher, academic and health specialist who is highly regarded by his peers all over the world. Commonwealth Scholar and United Nations Fellow, Professor David is currently Professor of Epidemiology at Abu Dhabi University, United Arab Emirates. He has also been Associate professor of Public Health at Zayed University (UAE), Associate Professor of Public Health and Unit Chair for Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Deakin University (Australia) and Senior Fellow and Intercampus Coordinator, Special Studies and Research Methods Unit, University of the West Indies. In Industry, he has been Senior Manager, Population Health, Victoria, Australia as well as Head, Research and Education Branch, the Migrant Health Service, Adelaide, Australia. Professor David is the Editor-in-Chief of the Greener Journal of Epidemiology and Public Health and has been the Co-Editor of the then Australian Journal of Social Research. In addition, he is currently a Member of the Editorial Board of 8 international Journals and continues to reviews articles submitted to many more international journals.

Research Interest

Professor David Achanfuo Yeboah has a very strong research interests in demography, epidemiology, various aspects of public health and population health. He is particularly interested in epi-statistical analysis of disease data, population and health interrelationships together with health services provision, analysis of health outcomes, especially for population subgroups and health policy research. He also has a strong interest in program evaluation, survey work (including client satisfaction surveys) and related social policy studies. Besides health and demography, Professor David has undertaken a lot of research into criminal justice and criminology including his book “Research methodologies in criminology”.
